Over two days of rich reflection and collaboration, DRCC partners came together for the Year 3 Write Workshop under the Disaster READY 2.0 Program to capture our shared progress, learning, and impact.
Day 1 Highlights.
- We unpacked Outcomes 1, 2, and 3, spotlighting how communities across the Pacific have strengthened preparedness, resilience, and locally led action through Year 3.
- The AHPSU-led webinar provided guidance on the 2024–25 Annual Reporting process -ensuring transparent, collective storytelling from all partners.
- We reflected on unintended outcomes – emerging as powerful by-products of the Disaster READY ecosystem.
- We explored how collaboration and leveraging across DRCC partners, and with DFAT-aligned initiatives like ANCP and APCP, amplified community reach, resourcing, and innovation.
- Closing of Day 1 with a candid look at our successes, challenges, and lessons learned – fuelling a stronger path forward in resilience building.
Day 2 Insights
- Reviewed our progress against the Localization Plan – reinforcing community voice and leadership in program governance.
- Assessed milestones under the DR2.0 Log Frame and convened for the Final DRCC Meeting of the year, celebrating transformative partnerships and local impact.
- As we reflect on Year 3, we celebrate the power of collaboration, courage, and community-led change. Here’s to building even stronger foundations for Year 4 and beyond!
